Outreach Centre
Through generous donations and tireless fundraising, the Foundation has been able to secure the funds needed by Salvation Army in Western Australia to hire a full time outreach worker since the 1st of January 2016 to assist vulnerable victims/survivors of family and domestic violence.
It is an ongoing priority to employ outreach workers in the future. They are an essential part of the support network, offering support to women on a regular basis, by attending court dates and Centrelink appointments. This in turn helps the women to feel secure whilst struggling with the confidence to complete these tasks alone.
The support provided by the outreach worker continues on after the women leave the refuge, to ensure they are equipped with the ongoing skills to support and believe in themselves to begin their new lives.
The Path of Hope Foundation Gala Ball is in part to generate sponsorship for the employment of the outreach worker on a permanent basis.
